Welcome to The Rabble-Rouser Lounge, a collection of critical reflections and other resources for and by first-generation and working class people who find themselves within the often hostile territory that is the ivory tower. Posts here are intended to address experiences of first-generation and working class people at multiple points of the academic pathway: undergraduate students, graduate students, post-docs, and faculty all can share critical perspectives here. There will be a special emphasis on other underrepresented and marginalized groups among us, including low-wage/contingent academic laborers, as well.
